Hanoi is located in the Red River Delta, in the center of North Viet Nam, is the capital of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, the center of culture, politics, economy and trade of the whole country. Throughout the thousand years of its eventful history, marked by destruction, wars and natural calamities, Ha Noi still preserves many ancient architectural works including the Old Quarter and over 600 pagodas and temples. Famous sites include the One Pillar Pagoda (built in 1049), the Temple of Literature (built in 1070), Ha Noi Citadel, Ha Noi Opera House, President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and so on.

Itinerary of Hanoi City Tour full day:

OPTION 1:

07h45-08h30: We’ll pick you up from your hotel take in the Old Quarter.

08h30: Arrive Tran Quoc Pagoda –  the oldest pagoda in Ha Noi built in the 6^th century.

09h00 – 9h15: Visit Ho Chi Minh complex, you have a chance to see the embalmed body of  Ho Chi Minh then walk around the garden to see 2 houses where he lived & worked from 1954 to 1969. Then visit One Pillar Pagoda where worships the Godess of Mercy – It is the most unique padoga in the world.

✓  Should dress modestly by covering from shoulders to knees when visiting Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, temples, pagodas…

✓  Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum is closed on Mondays and Fridays.

✓  Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum is closed at least 2 months (15^thJune -15^thAugust) for the annual maintaining but still can take picture Mausoleum and visit around that area

11h00: Continue visit Temple of Literature – the first university of Vietnam, established in the 11 century

12h30: Have lunch at our restaurant. You have an opportunity to enjoy Vietnamese cuisine with 8 delicious dishes.

13h30: Visit Vietnam Ethnology Museum to learn about the culture of 54 ethnic groups living in the whole country of Vietnam

Special Note : We will visit Women Museum instead of Ethnology Museum closed on Mondays

15h45: Leave for Hoa Lo Prison Museum which originally used by the French colonists in Indochina for political prisoners, and later by North Vietnam for U.S. prisoners of war during the Vietnam War. During this later period, it was known to American POWs as the “Hanoi Hilton

16h15: Tour finishes. Back to hotel

– Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum is closed at least 2 months every year (Normally from 15^th June to 15^th August but still can visit outside)
– Should dress modestly by covering from shoulders to knees in the public places like a temple, pagoda, HCM mausoleum …
– Should bring the necessary things such as : cash, cellphone or camara, raincoat/umbrella, sun block … (depending on the weather)
– Option Cyclo Ride/ Puppet Show will be done in the end of the tour.
– Tour may finish a bit earlier or later in some cases
– The order of the itinerary can be changed depending on the situation.

OPTION 2: 

8h00: Our Tourguide pick up you at your hotel. We start to visit Ho Chi Minh Complex, including Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum – the final resting place of Vietnamese great father or Uncle Ho, President Ho Chi Minh’s stilt house – where Uncle Ho lived and worked from 1958 to 1969. Then visit One Pillar Pagoda where worships the Godess of Mercy – It is the most unique padoga in the world.

10h00-12h00: Visit one of 2 options below

• Option 1: Visiting Vietnam Museum of Ethnology to learn about the culture of 54 ethnic groups living in Vietnam (on Tuseday – Wenesday –Thursday- Friday –Saturday – Sunday)
• Option 2 : Visiting Bat Trang ceramic village where we can explore the daily life of the locals & learn about the process how to make a perfect product (on Monday )

12h30: Take a rest and Have lunch at our restaurant about 1 hour.

13h30 – 13h45: Continue to visit Temple of Literature – the first university of Vietnam, The Temple of Literature (Van Mieu Quoc Tu Giam) is one of the most attractive tourist spots in Northern Vietnam. The Temple of Literature was founded in 1070.

14h45: Keep going to visit Hoa Lo Prison, the prison was built by the French, from 1886 to 1901, when Vietnam was still part of French Indochina. The French called the prison Maison Centrale. The prison was called “A Hell on Earth” and now the prison is like a war museum for those who want to understand more about the war against France of Vietnamese people.

15h45: After visiting Hoa Lo Prison, we enjoy Egg Coffee before coming back your hotel.

16h30: Our bus take you back to the Hotel. We finish the trip!
