 HOA LU – TAM COC – MUA CAVE – CUC PHUONG NATIONAL PARK

The primitive tropical forest of Cuc Phuong has been attracting visitors since 1960. Cuc Phuong is famous for its rich animal and plant life and the dozens of ancient caves that can be found within the forest. The most interesting cave is, perhaps, Nguoi Xua or the cave of Ancient man where prehistoric stone – made tools have been found. Cuc Phuong National Park boasts some 2,000 distinct species of flora, including more than 50 varieties of orchids and giant impressive trees, some of which are over 1,000 years old. There are also 262 species of animals including reptiles, monkeys, flying squirrels and even wild horses make their home in park.

Itinerary

DAY 1: HOA LU – MUA CAVE – TAM COC (Lunch, Dinner)

• 07h00 – 07h30: We pick you up at your hotel in the Old Quarter, departure for Ninh Binh, enjoying the beautiful sceneries of the rural areas on the way.
• 10h30: After arriving in Ninh Binh province, the guide takes you to visit Hoa Lu– the Ancient Royal capital of Viet Nam. We will visit Dinh king temple and Le king temple, in the 10th century, finding out the heroic histories of this two Kings in Chinese Wars. After that, we go to Tam Coc (10 km far from Hoa Lu).
• 11h30: Visit Mua Cave(Mua mean Dance) with 500 step up to the Top of Mua Moutain. On the Top, you can overview all the nice sence of Hoa Lu.
• 12h30: Have lunch at local restaurant. After lunch you will get on bamboo boat – rowed by the local people – in Hoang Long river to visit Tam Coc(three caves) on the way. You pass through three enormous caves that provide a brief respite from the intense summer sun. It takes approximately two hours to go up and down the river and along the way, you witness local fisherfolk, village life along the river and, of course, the striking limestone karst formations that Tam Coc is famous for.
• 16h30: Get on the bus go to the homestay/ bungalow/ hotel
• 17h00:Check in the Hotel. Have dinner and overnight in Hotel

Day 2: Cuc Phuong National Park – Hanoi ( Breakfast, Lunch)

Cuc Phuong National Park belongs to Nho Quan District, Ninh Binh province, which is bounded by 3 provinces of Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh and Thanh Hoa province. It is far about 100 kilometers from Hanoi to the southwest. Cuc Phuong national park is the first national park in Vietnam, established in July 1962. Cuc Phuong National Park has a population of abundant flora and fauna.

• 08h30: Have breakfast and be ready for Cuc Phuong National Park.
• 09h30: We will firstly visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Centre – a non-profit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation, breeding, research, and conservation of endangered primates, and to the protection of their habitats.
• 12h00:Have lunch in the restaurant with the local foods.

Continue taking a short trek into the National Park for sightseeing and learn more about the fauna and flora in this oldest forest of Vietnam. Back to the Park Centre visit the “Cave of Early Man”.

• 16h30:Take the Limousine Bus back to Ha Noi
• 19h00:Arrive Back to Ha Noi and get dropped at the hotel.
